Reality of using a firearm for self defense - Cost is $25 with no shooting and $50 with a live shooting lesson
This course uses a 3 pillar approach to teach effective self defense. The 3 pillars are: MINDSET, SKILLS and TOOLS.
MINDSET means you are mentally and physically prepared to become a protector or a defender of your family and your loved ones against those persons intent upon hurting them. You are willing to become their first responder and become someone they can rely on to defend them.
SKILLS -are the abilities you will need to have for effective self defense..
TOOLS are the firearms and gear you must have for effective self defense.
Mindset
We call this foundation a “WARRIOR MINDSET” or A PROTECTOR MINDSET. To support this mindset you must:
1. Eliminate the human tendency to freeze when under attack.
2. Have the mental fortitude to withstand the psychological pressure of a violent attack.
3. Develop the intensity needed to respond to an attack effectively.
4.Develop a desire to carry concealed and then renew your desire to carry concealed.
5.Learn how concealed carry fits into your life.
A. Understand violence so you can thwart and defeat violence directed to your or your loved ones.
B. Understand the myths surrounding self defense, concealed carry and guns and ammunition so you know what works and what does not.
Skills
Skills defines the training you will need to undergo to develop the skills needed for effective self defense. To accomplish this you must do the following:
1. Learn how to reduce the odds of being attacked in the first place.
2. Learn what to do in the critical first two seconds of attack.
3. Learn how to do this quickly and easily .
4. Learn how to disrupt your attacker's OODA loop to change the dynamics of the attack.
5. Learn draw stroke and handgun retention
6.. Learn how to shoot with both eyes open and with either hand.
7. Learn how to shoot from cover.
8. Learn dynamic movement to lessen the chances of being shot.
9. learn the importance of developing your skills into the portion of your brain that can be accessed when you are being attacked.
Tools -
This is where an armed citizen learns how to evaluate and select the gear needed to become a responsibility armed citizen.
These selections must be based on the demands of the reality where violence is likely to occur. Things to be considered include:
1. Selection of a firearm
2. Selection of ammunition
3. Selection of appropriate means of carrying or concealing your firearm
4. Selection of clothing appropriate for concealed carry
5. Understanding the physical effects of bullets on humans and the role they play in successfully stopping the violence.
